This year there were seven artists competing for cash prices. The extravagant couture gowns submitted were made of at least eighty percent of recycled, reclaimed or reusable materials.
The artists next to their creations.
The first, a gown made of materials found in the trash bin of the artists' studio. The bubble wrap cape was incredible!
Then came the creation of various recycled metals with a futuristic robotic dog! The dog sold immediately!
Followed by a creation that Lady Gaga would adore! A beautiful landscape of a dress created from recycled paint (with bee hive netting and cape). This was the winner - the artist has won multiple times in the past.
One of the crowd favorites was this number created from organic trash.
This Marie Antoinette inspiration was my personal favorite - the wig alone was made from twine and yarn, absolutely phenomenal!
There were also two men that participated with naughty outfits made of mahogany and plastic.
We had such awonderful time!
